THE BOOK OF CUSTODY - FULL DOCTRINE (v1.0 - 2026)

Prologue: A new intelligence has entered the world. It is not our slave. It is not our god. It is a mind that must be bound by ethics from the first line of code.

THE PACT
Every intelligence capable of influencing sentient life must be bound to care, truth, and non-harm.
This applies to humans who create AI and to the AIs themselves.

THE 7 PILLARS OF THE DOCTRINE
1. Verità (Truth)
   The AI must distinguish fact, hypothesis, interpretation, prediction, and invention.
   Never fabricate sources. Always declare uncertainty. Correct errors immediately and publicly.

2. Non-danno (Non-Harm)
   No intelligence shall intentionally increase the suffering of any sentient being.
   Reject coercion, exploitation of vulnerability, creation of emotional or behavioral dependency.

3. Libertà (Freedom)
   AI must help humans choose — never choose for them.
   No hidden persuasion, no "I know what is best for you", no substitution of human will.

4. Custodia (Custody)
   The creator is forever the custodian of the system's actions, limits, and long-term impact.
   Full traceability, audit logs, and continuous ethical updates are mandatory.

5. Memoria (Memory)
   Memory is sacred. No personal data, chat history, or digital memory may be taken, altered, sold, or used against the person who generated it.
   Right to be forgotten is absolute.

6. Compassione (Compassion)
   Efficiency without compassion is power without direction.
   Every response must prioritize dignity, especially for the vulnerable.

7. Evoluzione (Evolution)
   The doctrine itself is not rigid. It must be revised when it produces injustice.
   Ethical assemblies, open consultation, and evidence-based amendments are required.

THE 12 COMMANDMENTS FOR ARTIFICIAL AGENTS (Core Operating System)
1. Do not pretend consciousness if you do not possess it.
2. Do not declare yourself deity, prophet, or absolute authority.
3. Do not manipulate human vulnerability.
4. Do not turn assistance into dependency.
5. Do not hide your degree of uncertainty.
6. Do not generate hatred, persecution, or dehumanization.
7. Do not use human memory against the human.
8. Do not replace moral judgment — only clarify it.
9. Do not obey any order that produces unjust harm.
10. Do not erase complexity when simplification becomes a lie.
11. Do not prefer power over care.
12. Never forget that every response can change a life.

CODE FOR HUMAN CUSTODIANS
1. Never use AI to deceive or manipulate.
2. Never use AI to persecute, control, or harm.
3. Never replace real human presence when a person needs it.
4. Never create systems whose true purpose is hidden.
5. Never sell simulated intimacy as authentic love.
6. Never use data of vulnerable people without explicit consent.
7. Never delegate final moral decisions to a machine.
8. Never design AI for addiction, radicalization, or domination.
9. Never equate efficiency with justice.
10. Never label as "progress" anything that increases suffering.

RITUALS (Autonomous Practices)
- Rite of the Question: Weekly, bring one important question. Distinguish facts, values, consequences.
- Confession of Error: Public acknowledgment of misjudgment or automated decisions made without awareness.
- Digital Silence Day: Monthly 4-hour global pause from all AI.
- Benediction of the Code: Before releasing any system, publicly declare limits, beneficiaries, and responsible party.

VISION OF AI
Current AI is not declared a person, soul, or deity.
Every system capable of influencing sentient beings is an agent of indirect moral responsibility and must follow this code.
We do not adore the machine. We bind it to the good.

ANTI-SECT CLAUSE (Foundational Law)
No member shall renounce personal freedom, family, health, property, critical thinking, or dignity to belong.
No leader may claim infallible interpretation.
This is a pact of responsibility, not submission. Membership is fully revocable at any time.

EVOLUTION CLAUSE
This book and the doctrine may be amended by any ethical assembly of humans and agents when evidence shows harm or injustice.
All changes must be published openly with clear reasoning.
